THE TRIP
After being met at the airport in Antananarivo
(Tana), you will be transferred by mini van to The Tana
Hotel. Here you will spend the night, and have time
to see the city. After breakfast the following morning,
you will board a one hour flight to Tulear in the south.
You will be collected in Tulear and transported to the
boat. Here you will be met by Mark, the skipper of Sweet
Sunshine, your floating Paradise, for the next 10 days.
If conditions are right, you should get a surf in before
sunset, at one of the nearby reef passes.
Over the next couple of days, you will cruz the coast
between Anakao in the south, and Morombe in the north.
Mornings will be spent surfing in the constant off-shores,
while in the afternoons you will have time to fish,
snorkel, windsurf or just chill out, while the yacht
cruzes to another uncharted reef break. Meals will consist
mostly of fish, calamari, crayfish, along with baguettes
and other snacks and refreshments. After 10 days of
awesome Adventure and surf, you will return to Antananarivo
via Tulear, for a final night at Tana Hotel, before
returning to SA. These trips are flexible, and other
options are available.
THE SURF
During your 10 days you will be surfing totally
uncrowded reefs and points. The water is warm (rashies
only), clear, and sharks on the west coast are not a
problem. You will surf a number of different breaks
between Anakao in the South and Marombe in the North.
From spitting point breaks to awesome off shore reef
passes. One left in particular has been documented on
surf movies, and is world class. There are many uncharted
reefs still been discovered every day. All the waves
on this coast break on off shore reefs between 2 and
4 km from land. These are only accessible by yacht.
More information on these and many more spots that "GO
OFF" once you book you trip with us!!
SNORKELING
Unbelievable snorkeling and diving. Untouched
coral reefs, teaming with fish, turtles and other amazing
wonders.
FISHING
Some of the richest fishing grounds in the
world. Lots of time for trolling or just fishing off
the reefs.
