Games from the past!

I have been computing since I was a lil dude and have experienced games on the slowest Apple IIe and XT through to the current Pentiums and Pentium Pro's. Nothing compares to the games that are being produced these days but you can't appreciate them enough without having experienced the games of the past.

We are all familiar with the ever-popular Space Invaders and Pac Man games which were probably the first games existing on the ARCADE scene. For some strange reason these games are still played today, although graphics and sound have undergone a major change!

Games of TODAY!

DUKE3D Yeah...have you ever considered Duke3D as a 90's version of Space Invaders? Well, just like your lil invader you've got your good guy, one bad @$$-nuking duke dude, and you've got your bad guys, the scaly, slimy, irritating and asking-to-be-nuked riffraff!

Firepower has been upgraded from small lil dots to the scorching rockets of the RPG and the devastating rockets of the devastator or even a green shimmer of light before you're shrunk to the size of a sewer rat, just waiting to be stamped on by the nearest enemy.

Nowadays you don't have to play all by yourself...instead you enter the Point Of View (POV) maps with a number of fellow nukers and co-operatively prepare to nuke the bad dudes.

QUAKE The latest rave seems to be all about Quake...an excellently made game with amazing 3D graphics with ultimate sprite creation and stunning 3D viewing of surrounding objects. Dress up your quaker with the Quake-skin of his choice. You can be the Terminator if you like or how about a lava-man? There's nothing better than the rivetting experience of nailing your enemy with a bunch of NiN (Nine Inch Nails). Yep...Quake is becomming superior but right now I think a gang of 4 or more multiplayers on Duke has gotta take the Quake.
