Scripting functionality manages data within the process using user defined rules. These rules allow repetitive activities to be repeated throughout time without putting any demand on the IT team. Integration Test scripts can be built, including rules for generating new data. Useful when one application team requires data from other teams.

To elaborate on this, Siamease handles transactions that have multiple line item, such as Bills of Material, Hr Master Data, Stock Takeon, Financial takeon, sales order, release strategies and a host of others.

Although Siamease uses transaction recording at its heart it generates solutions that are more intelligent than the recording. A recording such as an LSMW or CATT recording can only replicate the transaction according to how it was originally recorded. Thus if a financial journal is recorded with 2 line items it can only post 2 line items. Siamease is capable of understanding the recording and recognising that the user may have any number of line items to post.  It also does this without requiring coding.

It does this in 7 ways.

1. Has an integrated and automatic validation layer. This ensures that data is correctly formatted and validated at face value. Fields that require dates for instance are checked against a calendar. Codes that should have leading zeroes can be auto-corrected in the validation process, eliminating the fustration of trying to fix obvious errors.
   
2. Has an automatic conversion layer. Siamease handles data that is uploaded into SAP and data that is created. Through its dynamic results database it can constantly build mapping tables withing the results database mapping legacy codes to SAP codes. New data being uploaded from a legacy system, need only refer to the original legacy data. Siamease will map the legacy codes to SAP codes using the SAP application server and present the results to the user for final verification. This eliminates the need for extract programs to be written to extract codes out of SAP for mapping before the process can continue. It also allows the migration process to be rule based avoiding extensive user intervention.
   
3. Results from data loads are stored within the results database and made available for audit through a central function. Signoff can be achieved across all applications from a central point and eliminates the need to develop audit reports and the need to train the audit team on complex SAP functionality.
   
4. Data loaded into SAP can be used as a data source for subsequent processes. Sales Orders, for example, can be delivered and invoiced through a Siamease business process. The Sales order numbers are stored by Siamease and made available to the delivery and invoice process. This is especially useful when defining integration test scripts or when creating volume data for training courses.
   
5. SAP standard data can be extracted by Siamease and used as a data source for data maintenance. Siamease can maintain volume master and transaction data using data in SAP and can apply changed based on conditions. For example, Siamease can determine a set of materials within a material group and change the material to another material group. Materials that have no open orders  and use can be found and flagged for deletion, allowing the archive process to cleanup obsolete data.
   
6. Data loaded from spreadsheets can be checked into a Siamease Data warehouse. The warehouse holds the data ready for processing and can be migrated to a QA and Production system for remigration. Once spreadsheets have been completed and verified the Data administrator can 'save' the data in SAP ready for the data migration project. This allows the SAP database management system to secure high volume data instead of keeping the data in volatile spreadsheets.
   
7. Data can be pulled from other SAP systems or clients using Siamease DXV Remote (r). This allows live production data to be extracted and used as a data source for preparing a Quality, development or training client. Siamease provides the infrastructure to separate the process from the data. This allows data to be pulled from other systems, modified and captured into a new SAP client.

Siamease generates complete stand alone code that developers can use or change if need be. Code is documented and generated to follow specific standards, including comments. A common problem in SAP is that the developers usually have to replace an entire process when adding a small change. Siamease is very sensistive to this. It has an integrated function builder that allows developers to code small functions or formulae.
