..real 3D graphics

Lasers Limited is proud to announce that we added THREE DIMENSIONAL (3D) GRAPHIC CAPABILITIES. This new graphic 3D effect can be used in the entertainment and the educational markets, but is very attractive for the corporate market for presentations and launches with a difference. This 3D effect is based on the ChromaDepth(TM) technique.

Isaac Newton found that a prism bends violet light further than red light. This simple observation is the basis for chromatic 3D stereo. Imagine if each eye looks through prism glasses. For the left eye, red light is bent towards the nose and violet light is bent out towards the temple. The prism direction is reversed for the right eye. Each eye now has a slightly different view. The displacement of the colours is seen as depth displacement. The result is that red light appears to be closer to the viewer, and violet light appears to be coming from further away.

We've used red and violet because they are at extreme ends of the spectrum, but the principle holds for all colours. The viewer sees red as closest, followed by orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue and violet.

Manufacturers use binary optics to create plastic films that duplicate the colour-shifting effect of prisms and by using these films in glasses, images made up of different colours, can be viewed in 3D.
