Deathdrink !

Falling, stalling fumbling,
Like a child without a care;
Grasping, gasping, tumbling,
Breathing in the air.

Lifting, shifting, reeling,
Down the road - "Intoxication"
Swearing, leaning, feeling,
The sober suffocation.

Rolling, bowling, slowing,
All morals - disregard;
Drinking, sinking, stinking,
A devil - no man of God.

Regretting, forgetting repenting,
In sober state of mind;
Crying, trying, dying,
A drink he cannot find !

Forgetting - regretting forgotten,
A wine now warm inside;
Dying - burying . . . . . rotten,
A man and drink had died.
