INTRODUCTION This once-off single was conceived by Alex Christensen in 1998 to benefit charity. Alex wrote the lyrics, and Frank Peterson composed and arranged the music. The group is named after one of the world's best-selling youth magazines, a German publication called Bravo. The song is an unparalleled combination of Europop singers, from boy-bands like N'Sync, the Backstreet Boys and Caught in the Act, to dance groups like Mr. President and Blümchen. Each artist takes turns singing two lines from the verses, and all lend their voices to the chorus. The Classic Version is a complete orchestral reworking of the pop-tune with sombre French horns, cascading flutes and a sweeping string section which supports an oboe in playing the vocal melodies. The Unplugged Version strips back the strings and drums of the Radio Version's backing-arrangement, leaving us with vocals, guitar, electric piano and soft acoustic percussion. The Instrumental removes all vocals, but is otherwise exactly the same as the memorable Radio Version ballad . |
