Automatic Garage Door Opener
Convenience, Protection, Safety, Personal Security

TECHNICAL-GENERAL:
Strong, robust construction ensures long life expectancy.
Powerful 260 N lifting force.
Patented Safety "Overload" sensors. This unique system senses the direct force on the door and is unaffected by variations in the supply voltage which can be a short coming in operators which use "amperage sensing" systems.
The "pro-alpha 2000" overload sensing system is also superior in performance to "slipping clutch" designs.
All installation hardware is supplied as standard equipment.
Powerful automatic courtesy light - (max 100W).
Quick access to PC Control Board and Courtesy light -(no special tools required).
Complies with South African and International standards - SABS - IEC 60335-2-1995 and meets or exceeds all US Federal, State and UL safety requirements.

ELECTRONIC CONTROL CARD:
Multi-function with PLC Logic Control.
"Power-surge" protection fitted as standard equipment.
Connection points are provided for "Safety Beams" or "Pressure Sensitive" edges.
12V DC Power supply outputs for Radio Controls.
"On board" radio receiver option available on request.
PC Board is "short-circuit" protected.
"Power-on" indicator LED is visible through the lamp lens.

DRIVE ARRANGEMENT:
"One-piece" worm shaft directly coupled to the electric motor.
No clutches or belts to wear out - No chain to stretch - No separate gearbox.
A rigid "one-piece" aluminium extrusion houses the worm shaft.
The Traveler Assembly is engaged at any point along the worm-shaft. This is a very important feature in the event of system malfunction as it allows the door to be "positively" locked in the event of a power failure. This is not possible with "chain-drive" operators and even some "belt-drive" machines.
The "worm-shaft" securely locks the door. No separate locks are required!
The "worm-shaft" is easily dismantled from the "Power-head" for maintenance and shipping purposes.
Motor shaft coupling is made of shock absorbent material and is designed to act as a "fail-safe" component in the event the door strikes an obstruction. In order to prevent severe injury to persons or major damage to the motor and door, the coupling is designed to be sacrificed - a secondary "safety" feature. A replacement one is easily fitted.

MOTOR AND ELECTRICAL:
250 W (1/3 HP), single phase, fan cooled motor with thermal overload protection.
Standard Motor - 220-240V, 50Hz. (110V - 60Hz motors made to order).

WALL-MOUNTED PUSH-BUTTON CONSOLE:
Independent door and courtesy light push-button controls.
"Vacation Lock" puts the machine into "sleep" mode for additional security. This prevents unauthorized operation of the machine.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:
A door which is made up of horizontal sections which are hinged together. The door is guided by tracks which allow the door to slide up and over until it lies in a level attitude when in the "open" position. The door has both vertical and horizontal guide tracks.
  DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:
A "One-piece" Tip-Up door which has no track mechanism.
When the door opens, a portion of the door moves through the opening to the outside of the garage. When fully open the door is partly inside and partly outside the garage.
  DISTINGUISHING FEATURES:
A flexible steel curtain which is guided by vertical side tracks and rolls up around a stationary shaft, (not to be confused with industrial "Roller-Shutter" doors.)
