City Hunter follows the adventures of Ryo Saeba and his assistant Kaori.Ryo is a detective in the anime and a "tueur a gages" in the manga. Ryo's particularity is that he can't stop thinking of women which sometimes leads to somewhat interesting confrontations between him and the woman that he has just gotten interested in, he doesn't worry about it though because there are just _so_ many women out there waiting for him^_^;;;. And Kaori just follows him with a VERY large hammer :p.
Although he appears to be a mindless womaniser at the best of times, he immediately changes his attitude when danger approaches. He has great finesse in the handling of weapons thanks to his upbringing in the Central American jungle during a civil war. Kaori also drops her mallet for slightly more powerful weapons, i.e. a bazooka. He has a couple of friends who either help him or get him into trouble.
The great thing about this series is mainly the humour and the good looking women ^_^ (If I had to be an anime character, I'd be him -Johann). The battle part of the storyline is larger in the manga than in the anime but then the manga is also aimed at a slightly more "mature" audience (didn't stop me ^^ -BJ)
